ABOUT THE SALON

For seven years, the Climate Salon has been a powerful global network with the mission of accelerating institutional investment in climate via private markets. Attendees represent some of the world’s largest investors, with our peak Salon reaching $11 trillion in AUM, from family offices, endowments and foundations, pensions, corporations, and sovereign wealth funds. They are market-driven, intergenerational investors. As such, they must navigate increasingly complex choices between short-term opportunities and long-term obligations.

With trillions under management, the actions of institutional investors are transformational – from financing essential infrastructure to scaling new energy sources. They fund the funds that invest in innovation, infrastructure, and the large-scale ventures that drive the future of everything. Their leadership in climate finance is critical for unlocking broader market participation and accelerating the global transition. To date, the Salon has facilitated at least $2.4 billion into climate investments.

Low carbon is the growth story of the future but there’s no map and the schedule is questionable.  Some investors will do their best to detect the pace of change simply to get it right,  while others will invest to drive change forward. This is why the Salons are critical. We address contemporary themes pressing investors today. We do all this in person, in private settings, enabling open and candid dialogue among participants.
